Know Thyself as Soul

Know Thyself as Soul

Know Thyself as Soul, a non-profit association incorporated in NSW. We offer programs and publications on natural living, spirituality, and the meditation on the inner Light and Sound taught by Sant Baljit Singh. With respect and love for all creation, we are dedicated to serving humanity through charitable activities.

Metaphysical knowledge is transformed into realisation by means of Yoga, or the method of concentration. Yoga is suppression of activities of the mind according to Patanjali.  However the word Yoga means the union with true self.

This spiritual path shows a practical way to achieve the perfection in lifetime through practice of Surat Shabd Yoga (Meditation on inner Light and Sound). Under the continuous guidance of a True Master the disciple unfolds the mystery of Life.

It is a brief review of what mystics have described as the ultimate destination of the spiritual journey and the nature of the journey that is needed to get there, and in a more in depth exploration of how we might choose a means of navigation to help us travel safely and surely and go about living in the “real” world while making progress towards the ultimate destination of human life.

Rakesh Bharadwaj has spent 30+ years pursuing the spiritual path, he speaks from his own experience and making himself available for the questions related to spiritual quest. Anything we will talk about will ultimately benefit the development of the soul.

The approach is to facilitate individual’s own spiritual exploration so that he or she becomes clearer about making decisions for themselves as opposed to dictating attendees what’s good & bad for them.

Srey Man

Srey Man

My journey towards Yoga and Meditation were a result of being deeply influenced by two mentors, both of whom previously served as Buddhist monks (my father and grandfather).

They taught me the art of empathy, compassion and ways to maintaining a cool head and warm heart in life. Through the practice of mindfulness I became interested in yoga.

I believe Yoga practice can bring into harmony the body, heart and mind; and in this state we have the potential to realise the deeper connections; highest qualities and potentials within ourselves and others. From this space one is touched by peace, understanding and the recognition of sacredness and oneness of all things.

I am a qualified Pilates instructor, Personal Trainer, Meditation facilitator, as well as being a qualified Hatha Yoga teacher and Kids Yoga teacher.

Vivek Kulkarni

Vivek Kulkarni

I started my journey of Yoga & Meditation in 1997. As a child, I was always inclined to spirituality and I questioned many times about rituals & cultures followed in my house and around. It was in 1997 that I joined Art of Living and did few of the basic and advanced courses.
I continued my study, learning & service to humanity since then. We can not be happy and peaceful if others around us are not happy so we owe a lot to humanity and I follow this in everyday life.
I have completed my teachers training (for yoga & meditation) from  Art of Living Ashram in Bangalore and love sharing this knowledge with others.
Yoga is way towards happiness as it works on Gross level (body) as well as shuttle level mind and I experience it everyday in my practice.
Yoga has been helping me make my life better everyday.

Terrie Rose

Terrie Rose

My name is Terrie Rose and I am a wife, mother of two beautiful children and owner of the Peak Physique Hot Yoga Marion studio.
I completed a Bachelor of Nursing as a mature aged student and have worked as a Registered Theater Nurse for the past three years. As a result of this I have realized how important health is and how life can change in a moment. However, despite my medical background, I don’t believe health is just about the physical body. I believe one must have unison of body, mind and spirit in order to achieve total health and well being. This is why I am passionate about yoga.
I have been practicing hot yoga for five years and have noticed amazing benefits to not only my physical health, but my mental health and well being too. It is because of my passion for yoga and belief in its benefits, plus my work history, that I chose to open an affordable hot yoga studio. I want everyone to have the opportunity to give yoga a go despite their socio-economic status and regardless of their level of yoga experience. Instagram unfortunately can glorify yoga and make it appear exclusive and un-achievable to the average person. I believe yoga should be available to everyone as there are amazing health benefits in even the most simplest asanas. Savasana is a perfect example!
